· I tried to connect to Roon using Aqua's Formula DAC and LinQ, but failed. Adding HQPlayer in the settings and entering the IP address took me to the audio settings. However, the audio settings were not saved.

Hello @yunhee_bae

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

Based on the diagnostic data, we see multiple HQplayer zones enabled.

HQ Player: 192.168.200.0 [ Zone: Unnamed ]

HQ Player: 192.168.200.194 [ Zone: LinQ ]

HQ Player: LinQ [ Zone: Unnamed ]

But when we are trying to initiate a connection, we are receiving the network error

02/26 13:04:24 Trace: [hqplayer] [192.168.200.194] ConnectionFailed
02/26 13:04:24 Info: [hqplayer] Invoking connect callback with NetworkError

Whenever Roon tries to finalize the connection to HQPlayer, it hits a hard block

Roon is trying to communicate with HQPlayer at IP address 192.168.200.194, but the connection is being rejected. This almost always points to one of two things:

  1. Network Control is OFF: In your HQPlayer desktop application, you must enable the “Network Control” button (it usually looks like a globe or network icon on the main interface). If this is not clicked and active, HQPlayer will ignore Roon’s attempts to connect.
  2. Firewall Blocking: The firewall on the computer running HQPlayer (192.168.200.194) is blocking the incoming connection from Roon. Please ensure that HQPlayer is allowed through your Windows/Mac firewall for both private and public networks.

Next step: Could you please double-check that the Network Control button in HQPlayer is pressed, and temporarily disable any firewalls on that computer to see if the connection goes through?
