The grouping is successful but the program exits.
Have to keep reopening roon.

Thanks @Ulf_Jalmbrant – I can reproduce this. We’ve opened a ticket and we’ll get this fixed ASAP.
In the mean time, I think you should be able to carry out the same operations from the Track browser, and you can also filter by path there, which may make it easier to split up the albums, depending on how you have the files organized.

I want to point out that I have been splitting some album collections on TIDAL. You select all tracks of a disc and do edit -> grouping. Renumber the album as disc 1 and blam it saves it all before graceful shutdown. It should obviously be fixed but roon is pretty quick to load from SSD so I could manage. Happy you was proper enough to save the changes and not do a proper crash to desktop leaving everything messy.
My work in splitting the Metallica collection bought as FLAC from TIDAL store was not handled by roon and each album has a separate directory there. Conversion to ALAC was done for work with iPhone. Had some real trouble working with Metallica.
