Before embarking on a project of learning. I’m thinking about seeing if it’s possible to scrape charts from acclaimedmusic.net and create playlists in Roon.
I sometimes go to the site and choose a genre or year/decade and spend a month or two listening to the top 50 albums. It would be handy to see if I could do this with api calls into Roon.
But before I start the project, thought I’d check the feasibility of the project or if anyone has done something similar already.
You can use the Roon API for searching tracks like I did with rooAIDJ. But I warn you. This API is quite difficult to use.

Could you point in the right direction? I’m able to search for songs and add all these songs to the playing queue. But I can’t manage to find a “Create Playlist” action. Which service are you using?

Too bad to hear that it’s not possible. So the closest thing would probably be to build up a queue and manually save that as a playlist?
