Hello @Edward_Lee!
Thanks for the heads up on this mix. Taking a looksee I’d say - yep, this is an anomaly that we’re investigating. I would also have expected to see some Mike + the Mechanics and Genesis in this mix.
Hello @Edward_Lee!

I felt the need to contribute here because my experience of this feature has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s literally banger after banger, day after day.
I’m currently listing to a Daily Mix based on the French post-metal band Alcest, an artist with whom I’m familiar but is not currently present in my Roon library. This playlist spans the exploratory/post/prog end of metal I enjoy the most and contains both new and familiar artists.
To have multiple personalised (I can really see the effects of my listening habits and library content) AI-curated playlists delivered each day is genuinely brilliant and has been a near-constant source of joy.
Having been away for most of the week I have come back to some very good and varied mixes after having a lot of repeat mixes and the similar mixes under different band names.
Last night and today I have saved a number again.
Could be luck or back end changes, but it is good to see progress with this feature thanks.
If this continues I might be complaining about my lost album listening time again

Mike,
I tried the daily mixes for some weeks but stopped. First, the functions to play specific tracks has several bugs (e.g. can not hit play directly, Play from here also does not work, only hold/Play, which then stops after that song - so it’s unusable bottom line). This is frustrating. But - more important and probably even more embarrassing - the content was uninteresting, not inspirational and I not once saved an album or song recommended. Sorry to say that, but it’s worthless to me. Spotify is still leading, and now even Tidal mixes are relevant. Roon knows more about my music library and habits than any other company on this planet. And can’t figure it out… It’s disappointing tbh.
PS: and not immediately fixing the known functional bugs of such a hyped new feature is beyond my understanding.
Been tracking Daily mixes for 2 1/2 weeks. I seem to get many duplicate artist choices. Just today, I got three artists which have been repeated within the last 5 days, one, Kate Bush, I also got yesterday. (not the first time, also got Pink Floyd 2 days in a row last week.)
I have colored the same artists and appended the appearance number for subsequent appearances. Note that Pink Floyd has been chosen 4 times in this time period.
Personally, I don’t want to see a duplicate artist within at least a month of last selection. There are too many artists out there to have to repeat one artist 4 times in two weeks.
Glad to see was not just myself.
I have found many repeat artists but with just a different " header" band for the mix.
It’s definitely better but needs more work to avoid repetition.
Nice work trending it @Rugby !
Pretty much the same experience, with the odd couple of days of something completely different. Though excellent work on tracking it in so much detail.
But I am getting some great mixes as well.
I haven’t started tracking each playlist track, but, I will soon. The issue is that when an artist, lets say Led Zep is chosen, the pool of artists used to fill that playlist are also pretty much the same. Might be different tracks, but, it will always have Deep Purple, etc etc. Same for the other duplicated artists. Kate Bush always has Peter Gabriel, for example.
Yes I am seeing similar repeat of artist’s, even if the songs are different and under a different band name is given. Friday and Saturday I got a few really good and different mixes though
Yes, I am not saying the mixes are not good. I have Kate Bush the last two days in a row. Individually, each Mix was pretty good. However, each was made up of nearly the same artists just different tracks and gets repetitive when repeated so close to each other.
I had started at the beginning to qualify them with a letter grade, but, put that on hold until I start tracking all playlist selections by track to illustrate my reasons for the grade.
Looks like the missing daily mixes has now been resolved, I’ve not missed for a while now !
I think generally the mixes are getting better !
However, I do seem to get the same artist to regularly. I’ve had a Nick Cave mix now multiple times in the last week or so. Great Artist, and really enjoy his music and the content of each playlist is different, but I’ve over 600 Artists, and think the idea of the playlists should be to promote new artists based on the listening, so to get the same artist so many times in a short period, is too repetitive.
To understand how it works, I assume listening to a playlist, doesn’t mean you’ll get another from the same artist? this would again just be a circular experience ?
However, Overall I think the playlists are getting better, and are a great addition.
Please keep up the good work Roon Team !
I have been seeing an increase in Bands chosen in sequential days. Here is the last three days of daily mixes:

Note, Kate Bush was on Saturday and Repeated Sunday. The Beatles and Bohdan Warchal were on Sunday and repeated today.
Also, notice the Prism Daily Mix today. Normally, I’d say great deep artist dive. However, my Daily Mix had no tracks from the band itself. Below is a screenshot of the Daily Mix sorted alphabetically by artist. Notice, no Prism.
How are you exporting the playlists?
On Monday I made a post where I had two days where artists were repeated. Same happened between yesterday and today. Both Pink Floyd and Tony Bennett were on for both days.

So much good Canadian rock there!!!
@mike If you are looking for users interested in providing feedback on the classical Daily Mixes, then count me in. As others have already stated, focusing on single tracks/movements by a chosen performer is problematic for classical music, although I am definitely enjoying the Jazz and Rock mixes.
Would be great if there was some way to design an interactive classical mix generation tool that could take user input from a menu of variables: period, composer, genre, featured instrument(s), conductor, performer, Hi Res only, etc.
Are you working with a user group on this? If so, how can I join?
Today, Roon nailed it 300% with the choice of Daily Mixes.
5 of the 6 presented playlists were very well chosen artists and well selected playlists.
What made my day however, is the choice of the 6th daily mix: Children music.
Now I know that a lot of children music is played in our living room when one or more of our grandchildren are with us.
But please Roon, playing children music is not a guilty pleasure of mine.
Dirk
Not checked my daily mixes for a few days, been a busy worker
.
Today I have 4 near identical repeat mixes,
but 2 new and pretty exciting mixes,
.
So not all bad even if a little disappointed.
Today almost all of mixes already existed in my library and one mix right out of left field
