Deleting Artists and tracks

Hi

Sorry I feel that I am asking a lot of questions on here

I have 3 artists that appear in my library, with albums that say they are in my library, that are not in my library.

When I try to delete the album nothing happens, when I search the drive that these artists are on they dont appear and when I try to play the tracks they wont play

Everything suggests they are not in my library and yet they appear on my library. A rescan does not get rid of them

Any ideas please on how to remove them?
