Description of Issue

The roon app on the Ipad does not find the Denon receiver.
How can the “Roontested” Denon DRA800h Receiver used by roon? The denon receiver is not detected in the IOS App “Settings”-“Audio” - therefore I cannot select it.
What did I miss?

The DRA-800H supports Airplay2, and only Apple devices support streaming to Airplay2.

But what does that Webpage intend to convey?

This states that the DAC is Roon Tested:

Digital in: optical / coaxial / USB-A*

In other words, you need to connect the amp to your core or a streamer using a compatible digital input.

*I suspect this is for connecting USB storage devices only.

Thanks for the replies.
Somehow I am confused.
I have the roon installed on the Syno NAS - my core stramer - it has no digital output whatoever. So that way I am stuck, I guess or don`t I?
So given the conclusion above is right? then what remains is using my ipad roon app with Airplay to the denon receiver . my Ipad itself is detected by the roon app. But in order to Airplay to the Denon I would need the roon app detect the denon airplay. But it doesnt detect it. All other Ipad apps(Spotify,Qobuz,…) detect the denon Airplay.
Any hint how to use roon with Airplay?

Maybe this helps you too.
