Description of Issue
I have a Devialet Expert 200 (not Pro) always working fine. Two days ago I did the most recent firmware update and now the Devialet Expert no longer appears as a audio device in the Settings/Audio of Roon.
.I do see the Devialet Air Driver in the PC section of the Settings/Audio. I have rebooted the NUC, NAS, modem, router, Ethergen switch and Devialet multiple times. I swapped out the Ethergen with my old switch and have tried replacing ethernet cables. I removed the Roon app from my IPad that I use as my remote and now I can’t re-install the app. The Devialet works with USB and phono. I think I need to un-install and re-install Roon. What is the process for doing that?
You changed firmware on the 200, and since then it doesn’t work: so the problem is probably there - and not with the other components?.. But it’s not working how? I don’t think non-PRO models are Roon Ready, so you’d be relying on Devialet AIR (via USB), which you say is working?
I’m almost certain that this happened to me a couple of years ago with my Devialet 1000Pro. Strangely, after a few days it just worked and has ever since.
Maybe try another re-start of everything. It’s highly unlikely anything is actually ‘broken’.
Ah glad to hear! Though I would recommend writing to Devialet support when the new firmware update of Expert line is coming - as it’s very long overdue.
