Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)
Devialet Expert 220 Pro as Roon Ready device.
Description Of Issue
Suddenly, out of nowhere, while playing, I was told ‘No audio device found, please manage’. On the audiosettings screen there was now no Roon Ready device to choose. I tried everything, restarting everything, also the router. Panic an frustration. Then I tried to reinstall latest firmware on the Devialet. Now it was possible to choose a Roon Ready device on audiosettings screen, but not the Expert like before. (See screenshot). Furthermore I am warned, that the chosen device is not certified by Roon Labs and may not work properly. (It seems to work). what is going on?
Hi, I have the Expert 200 , not the 200 Pro and this has happened to me a few times lately . For me I just turn the Nucleus off, and turn it back on. This worked on most occasions for me . The one time it did not I uninstalled the Roon Remote app and reinstalled it. it then worked.
I also solved this by full power off Devialet (unplug from the mains), and also a few restarts for Roon.
At this moment, there are issues on Devialet software for Roon Ready protocol, so it is better to use Devialet AIR protocol, witch is working fine. Beside this, the sound quality is the same, and Roon Ready protocol in heavier for your network.
I have thought of uninstalling/reinslling the remote app, but is afraid to loose all my tags, favorites, albums added to my libary from Tidal and so on. Wouldn’t I?
Hi Steve
Thank you for respond, after several restarts it works again. I did not try to reinstall the remote app, but if necessary I would like to know if settings, tags etc. will be lost?
Hi Daniel
Thank you for respond. It now works again. I have also heard that Devialet and Roon have some discrepancies. Maybe the problem have something to do with that.
Hi All,
was having exactly the same issue as described by Claus earlier… Thanks to your input and sound advice I could solve the little issue… plugged my Expert out and back in… it did the trick :0)!
Now enjoying music via Roon Core on MacBook Pro directly to Expert 1000 Pro (Ethernet)… My AudioPlan Kontrast V just sound beautiful :0).
Thanks for your help!
