I have a Cabasse Pearl Keshi which is Roon Ready. it’s worked flawlessly for a year, but today disappeared from Roon. It does show up as an Airplay device, but no longer as a Roon Ready device.
it’s obviously on the network, since Roon sees it via Airplay. i can also play to it via Tidal Connect.
Hi @woodford,
Thank you for your post.
Diagnostics show three endpoints all simultaneously dropping off the network earlier today: a NAD, a Gold Note, and this Cabasse. The former two have both since returned at their same local IP addresses. The Cabasse is still visible at its IP via different protocols, as you mentioned.
A few quick items to check:
Power cycle the Cabasse. Reboot RoonServer as well. Airplay relies on Apple’s bonjour, a separate mDNS discovery protocol from Roon Ready. It’s possible for one to fail without the other, so let’s force the Pearl’s RAAT stack to restart and see if a fresh discovery cycle allows it to see Roon Server.
If that doesn’t help, then please provide a little detail about the topology here. Do the NAD and Gold Note share an access point in the Eero mesh network that the Cabasse doesn’t use? Are any of these devices hardwired and others on WiFi?
Ensure your Eero settings are optimized to reliably carry Roon device discovery traffic. Here’s a quick guide.
Verify Roon Ready is still enabled in the Cabasse’s own settings, and check its firmware version.
We’ll watch for your response and proceed with next steps.
Thank you!
thanks. rebooting the server did nothing.
rebooted the Cabasse and it’s back.
thanks.
