i want to install a hqplayer embedded version on my intel cpu mini pc with OS dietpi bookworm (which is debian)
Where can i find the correct version to setup the installation. hqplayerd_5.16.1-45intel_amd64.deb is not correct ?
Regards Dirk
Is there a functionality Backend available in the hq OS Version where it can be configured as upnp output so that it should be possible that upnp/openhome streamers like Linn Akurate ADSM will be reachable and playing PCM possible ?
Unfortunately it does not work such straight forward. I can update to dietpi trixie, and did also a clean install with dietpi trixi. I also see the licence screen from hqplayer. But when clicking ok it wants to install or configure defaults and ends with showing dozens of libraries missing
thanks for the information: Configuring HQPlayer Embedded – Signalyst
I now this content.
Maybe we can ask Signalyst to update the content. The text still refers to Debian 12 Bookworm, but as far as I understand, it is no longer supported. Also should be clarified whether the libgmpris (and libsoup3) packages should be downloaded for Debian Bookworm or for Trixie or are they the same ?
No, since HQPlayer Embedded itself is a UPnP Renderer. There’s no support for chaining multiple renderers, and UPnP in general doesn’t offer required functionality HQPlayer needs for it’s backend.
So the solution would be to ask Linn to implement HQPlayer NAA endpoint in their device.
Done!
No, always use only the packages specific to your distribution. So please use only trixie packages on trixie, otherwise there will be trouble. For trixie, only libgmpris is needed in addition to hqplayerd package. The referred libsoup/libgupnp/etc packages are just to fix unpatched critical bugs in the OS provided packages.
