Difficulty connecting Nucleus to network; unable to access via browser (ref#BGWNGM)

typo above. “it’s NOT a screen issue”.

I still need solutions to this. I’m without a Roon Core. Unable to use Roon at all. Please respond.

Hi @William_Howard,

Sorry to hear you’re still having issues.

If you remove the newly installed SSD, do you see anything on the monitor? If not, you could be suffering from other hardware failures, potentially a motherboard-related issue.

Let me know, thanks!

(Note Roon doesn’t work over the weekends, so we’ll be back first thing Monday morning, you should be able set your MacBook up as a temporary Roon Server in the meantime) :+1:

Geez. I wish I had gotten that response days ago now I’m afraid I’m going to lose another weekend

So I’ll yank my brand new SSD drive out and try that. if it is my motherboard, what are my options then?

Bill

Hello @William_Howard ,

Do try to remove the SSD and see if there is a change in behavior. If there is no change and the motherboard is the issue, the only other option would be to try a CMOS battery reset to see if it helps (this process is a bit more complex and requires thermal paste to be applied):

The other option is to look into another Roon Server - the Nucleus One is a cost-effective option, you can opt to build a ROCK, if you’d prefer a PC could work.

Ok. At this point, I’m dropping the Nucelus off at the dealer I bought it from. They will be in touch. I’m very dissatisfied with your equipment. Bill

Hi @William_Howard,

Were you able to give Noris’s above steps a try? Hardware failure is never easy, I’m sorry you’re going through it.

If this is an available option to you, your dealer may be able to provide additional diagnostics and insight. Certainly, let us know if you have any additional questions along the way or in the future.
