Disable Roon Server on old PC

Straightforward move from an old Win 11 PC to a new Win 11 PC. All the music is on a DAS and everything went great moving the DAS to new PC and finding my music.

Now trying to use the old PC as a remote. I keeps thinking I have two servers and warns me I can only have one. I want to know how to “disable” the Roon server on the old Win PC.

If you see a screen with an Unauthorize button for the old server, just click it and your Roon license will be transferred to your new server.

Alternatively, just quit the old Roon Server and uncheck the “Launch at startup” option.

Hey @Tom_Cirillo,

Welcome to the community! We’re excited to have you here - @Geoff_Coupe is 100% correct with the above statement.

Let me know if it helps and if you have any other questions!

Yes, you have two servers. That’s OK as you can only use one at a time and unauthorize the one you don’t want to use. You probably have both of them set to Launch at Startup of the PC. If you don’t want that to happen, on the PC you don’t want to act as a Roon server, go to the lower right corner of your Windows screen and disable it and remove the Launch at Startup checkmark.
