[Discussion about possible] Feature Suggestions for Roon / Roon ARC

1、Playback Behavior from a Single Track: Clicking on a track within a track list should initiate playback starting from that selected song and then continue through the remaining tracks in the list. It should not transition directly into Roon Radio after the single track finishes. Entering Roon Radio should either be an explicit choice made via a right-click/context menu option on the track, or it should automatically start only after the entire current queue/album/playlist has finished playing.

2、TIDAL/QOBUZ ‘Favorites’ Sync Issue: Tracks marked as Favorites (liked) within the TIDAL or QOBUZ streaming apps are not being synchronized or reflected as ‘Loved’ tracks (indicated by the heart icon) within Roon.

3、Lack of K-Pop Focus/Genre Support: There is currently no dedicated K-Pop section or genre focus area. This includes a lack of features such as New Release recommendations and personalized suggestions for similar K-Pop works based on my currently ‘Loved’ tracks in the library.

4、Roon ARC Sorting Limitation: Within the Roon ARC track listing, there is currently no option to sort or begin listening starting from the most recently added tracks.

I think the difference here is whether you click Play Now (which plays only one track) or Play from here (which plays all subsequent tracks on the album)

And in Settings > Play Actions you can choose what the “one-click action” default behavior should be, but it seems that it can’t be Play from here, and so you must choose this explicitly from the play menu in the track list, it seems:

However, you can multi-select several tracks and then choose Play Now in the top (album) menu. This works and plays the selected tracks:

There are two steps here:

1. Tracks that are favorited (hearted) in Tidal should be added automatically to the Roon library. There is an issue if this doesn’t work. In this case, start a Support ticket.
2. However, Tidal favorites should NOT automatically get a heart (become a favorite) in addition to being added to the Roon library. This is as designed and is how it should be. Otherwise, we would lose the option of marking our real favorites in Roon.

Sorting Limitation:

Are you referring to the queue or a playlist? In both, you may reorder using the drag handles.

However, regarding the 3rd issue (K-Pop), the navigation path required to reach K-Pop seems overly complicated:

Genres > Pop > Asian Pop > K-Pop

Is this the intended design? Is there a way to pin K-Pop to the main (home) page, or a more direct access path?

Regarding the 4th issue (Sorting):

In the Roon ARC mobile application, within My Library > Tracks, the available sorting options do not include the ability to sort by “Date Added” (starting with the most recently added songs).I consider this a fundamentally essential feature.

You can navigate to the Genre page once and make it a bookmark.

1. Navigate to desired Genre page
2. Click the Bookmark icon (1 in the image below)
3. Click “Add Bookmark” (2 in the image below)
4. Give it a Name and save. Thereafter, when you open Roon click Bookmark Icon and select the Bookmark you created. (3 in the image below).

They do, but you’ll have to add the column first. Click the gear icon on the right, and select Date added.

I am aware that Roon Remote can do this, but Roon ARC does not have this functionality.

Ideally, Feedback > Feature Suggestions should include a single request relating to a single product. The request hould also be clearly understood by the community, they they may vote.

Since some points do not apply to Roon, and clarification is sought, I have moved the thread to Roon Software Discussion.

However, if, for example, you thibk ARC should include filters to sort by date added, please open a new request in Feedback > Feature Suggestions (after checking that a similar request doesn’t exist) and add your vote.
