Does Roon bring the Uniti Atom out of standby

I am. thinking of upgrading my Ropieee and Raspberry Pi screen for a Uniti Atom but first I need to make sure that I am not adding an extra step to the listening experience.
Does the Uniti Atom sit in standby mode and come to life when you send something to it from Roon? I do not want to have to walk over to it and press a switch or find the remote to switch it on, I just want to use the Roon Remote on whatever device I am using.

Yes. At least it does for my NDX-2 and as the streaming system is the same, it should work the same in the Atom

Yes no worries, Roon will turn on and control the volume on the Uniti or any other ‘Roon ready’ device. I Run it on a Naim Uniti, an NDX2, a Naim Qube and a Sonos TV Sound Bar.

Thank you for your replies. I guess I will go ahead and spend the money then.

The Atom has three modes: on, network standby, and deep sleep. As long as it is not in deep sleep mode it will be discovered by Roon and can be used an an endpoint without any additional button pressing.

I think it’s interesting that you know that you can turn OFF the Naim too from Room. Really really useful (volumen changing and mute is also accounted for).

Thanks to all of you who replied. I went ahead and got a Uniti Atom. Setup was easy and it is working well.
I have a couple more questions, I will make a new topic…
