The status of this issue remains that we are working with Cocktail on this issue. A fix for this issue would likely be included in a larger software update for the platform. I2S is the format HDMI is merely the connector used…Physically

I2S can also be sent over RJ45 as used on the Denafrips Terminator product, as well as HDMI 19 pin connector.

Hello @Gary_Wan,

The behavior you are seeing is a result of the Cocktail Audio firmware. Roon does not have any ability to override or reconfigure the device’s audio outputs. The only way this can be resolved is with a firmware update for the device.

After i down grade the firmware to R0873, the behaviour back to mormal.
