Duplication of the SAME track in an album?

Content you’re reporting an issue with

This CD has 21 tracks, in two discs. I have tried everything to get Roon to properly show this album. Notice track 12 here is identified THREE times, and when I play it ALL THREE are playing. ???

Have you made any edits to this content in Roon?

Yes. Deleted album altogether, and saw it disappear in Roon. Re-added it to my NUC and it is growing in file numbers. But there’s never more or fewer than 21 files.

Is the album identified in Roon?

It is identified, and then mapped to 51 tracks. There is no version anywhere with 51 tracks!!! There’s only ONE version of this album. The one with 15 tracks you see here is an Esoteric special version. The one with “SMH-CD” is correctly identified (same album really, a different CD pressing).

Is this content from local files, TIDAL, or Qobuz?

Local

ANYONE from Roon?

It’s the weekend

I uploaded the album. Can you confirm all 21 tracks uploaded?

you really want to know that my copy is fine

Have you checked in Edit>Grouping , does it look OK

I am not sure what you mean. This morning I restarted the ROCK NUC, and right now it is displaying the album properly, ie only 21 tracks.

Hi @miguelito,
I’m glad to hear the files are displaying properly now. I reviewed the files you uploaded and didn’t see any duplication on our end either. Since the files themselves seem fine, this was likely a one-off issue with the server.

If the duplication reappears or you notice anything else unusual, just let us know—we’re happy to take another look!

At the album page

3 dot menu
Select edit
Select Fix track groupings

It often shows up duplicates and other funnies

I tried but the issue was all duplicated files were there, pointing to the same physical file.

Hi @miguelito ,

Thanks for letting us know that additional info. I’ll go ahead and mark this thread for closure since the issue is not happening any longer, but should the issue re-occur, please feel free to let us know and uncheck the solution box. Thanks!
