In this Early Access build, we’ve continued focusing on improving the app’s usability and robustness.
Over the past few months we’ve shipped a number of major performance improvements to Roon, but some users reported that performance could still degrade over time. Over the last few weeks the team tracked down several additional culprits — including memory leaks tied to library browsing, like navigating between artist detail pages. These are now fixed, and performance should stay consistent even through long browsing sessions.
As always, please let us know if you’re still seeing slowness or performance degradation.
We’ve also resolved a couple of issues which were flagged by Early Access users in the previous release. For example, a crash occurred when using the ‘Share via…’ option on Android devices. A bug that affected Android tablets was also addressed: the layout didn’t resize correctly on orientation changes until the screen was tapped.
