Endlessly asked to upgrade Qobuz account, but wind up in endless loop

I’ve subscribed to Qobuz for ages, but lately it keeps asking me to upgrade my Qobuz account Settings

Then I go to Settings/Services and get this window which asks me to edit, and then I get the overlay you see below:

I click on Learn More and get the same window.
I click on Retry and get the same window.

I don’t know what else to do.

Log into Qobuz outside of Roon and figure out what the issue is. Are you trying to use a free Qobuz account? Set up Qobuz within Roon using your email address that you used in Qobuz.

EDIT: Then login within Roon @ Roon - Settings - Services - Qobuz - Edit

I was able to log in without incident via a browser outside of Roon. But it gives me no opportunity to log in within Roon.

Is this a Qobuz streaming account or a download-only account? You can only use a streaming account in Roon

Edit: By the way, the thread title says “upgrade Roon” but the content is actually about “upgrade Qobuz”

Good point - I’ve amended the title and moved it to the Qobuz category.

@support - have you any suggestions to resolve this issue?

I guess my old brain misspoke on the title. Glad it’s corrected.

I have a regular streaming account in Roon.
I retried today and everything is the same,

You probably want to remove your email address from these screenshots, this is a public forum

I suppose you mean Qobuz :wink:

It seems that in most cases like this the issue ends up as actually being an error with the account on the Qobuz side. Did you check the Qobuz account page in a web browser to ensure that everything is in order?

Also, what does it say when you click “Learn more”?

This error means that you are using a Free Qobuz account, and you cannot use Qobuz Free with Roon due to licensing restrictions. Possibly you may have your Qobuz subscription tied to another email address. I would check the Qobuz profile streaming info to see what subscription is listed there for your Qobuz account:
