After the latest Roon update, I cannot enable one of my endpoints ('device not found')
Describe your network setup
Core: Mac Mini M1 (2020) Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348) Roon 2.0 (build 1420)
Remotes:
Endpoint “Monk”: RoPieee 2024.10 (1840) STABLE Running on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4# With HiFiBerry Digi2 Pro hat Wired ethernet connection to TP-Link AV2000 Powerline Adapter Static IP
Endpoint “Evans”: RoPieee 2024.10 (1840) STABLE Running on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.2# with HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro hat Wired ethernet connection to TP-Link AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Static IP
There has been several reports like this that are attributed to Sequoia’s increased security …
(Background; I believe these were added between the final release candidate and the production release, it tripping up quite a few 3rd party applications.)
Can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.
If that doesn’t work Roon support team will be along to offer further advice and guidance.
I’m speculating here so bear with me … as Roon updated after you made the Apple security changes, you may have to do them again to get Apple to play ball with Roon.
I just noticed that when I try to access the endpoints using a web browser, neither of them is reachable from the Mini. They are both reachable just fine from any other machine on the network. And yes the Mini has internet access.
