I have my Eversolo DMP A8 as my endpoint connected to a Chord Hugo TT2 DAC via usb. When I load Roon, I can see the Eversolo but not the Hugo TT2 attached to it.
The Eversolo is limited to 384Khz via Roon, but can play 768khz directly. Is this an issue with Eversolo not having the correct licensing with urself to transmit 768khz?
Why can’t I see the Hugo attached to the Eversolo? When I install ROCK on my laptop, and use that as an endpoint with the chord Hugo linked to it, Roon displays the chord Hugo. But not when plugged into the Eversolo.
Thank you for your post! We’d be happy to clarify the Signal Path, but you’ll need to further specify some of your questions.
The DMP-8 is a Roon Ready device; it can receive PCM at up to 768kHz via Roon Ready. How are you connecting the unit to Roon (USB, etc) when you see the sample rate limited to 386kHz?
The Hugo is managed fully by the drivers in the Eversolo firmware in this configuration. Roon is engaging with the Eversolo, which then transports the audio downstream to the Hugo. Roon does not have gestalt awareness of Signal Path elements for parts of the chain over which it has no digital control.
If you’d like us to investigate further - please share a screenshot of the Device Setup page in Settings → Audio for the relevant Zones. Please also share a screenshot of Signal Path for the configuration to which you’re referring here.
