Everything was fine until I added a watched folder, now I have duplicates of everything

I am certainly no expert on this, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

I like the deletion idea, I guess it would knock out all my “favorites”.
I will backup and give this a shot.
Thanks!

So I’ve backed up my cleaned up nucleus, everything looks great.
Can I delete all the music on my nucleus internal ssd.
Turn on the watched folder on my Mac and re-import the music.
Then can I restore the database from a backup?

I think you can, but please wait for someone else with more experience doing this to verify. I would hate for you to get totally screwed based on something I told you.

Ha, agreed! Thx

This is what I would suggest. While it is a bit more work, at the end of the day, you get the best of all worlds.

I personally feel that Music should be local to the core for the b st Roon experience. Otherwise you have to keep the other pc on all the time. Also, you have added the network into potential playback issues.

And finally, your current process is creating a backup of the music files, so if one or the other drive fails you.can easil recover

Great, thanks Daniel.

I definitely will always keep music on my nucleus internal ssd.

Could you please advise if this is the recommended action:

  1. Delete music on nucleus internal ssd
  2. Turn on watched folder and recopy music back into my nucleus.
  3. Try to restore my database file from backup.

Many thanks all!
