Exchanging the internal drive from a Nucleus to Nucleus B

Hi There, i have to exchange my first gen. Nucleus to a new one. I want to change the internal hard drive without to loose the music stored on it. Can you please advise how to proceed

Hi @anon26308295,

To clarify, you just want to move the existing Internal Storage drive to the new Nucleus without losing your files? Since the drive is already formatted in a way that the Nucleus can read, you should be able to just move the drive without the need to reformat so you can keep everything as is.

Just remember to also back up and then (after installation of the new Nucleus) restore your Roon database.

Can I ask why you are making the change from the old to the new Nucleus?

thanks for coming in. I made no back up. I stalled the drive in the new Nucleus and aktivated it in settings. The System runs from scratch without a glitch.
Why I swapped the Nukleus? I’m working with the Germen Nukleus distributor and took the chance to sell the first Nukleus to get a new one as Demo model for my Sales Rep job
