Having own McIntosh off and on since `69, I used to understand their business model, but for the last few years, their plan seems obscure. My wife saw this amp/streamer and suggested that I “buy one for the library, how much is it…$800?” I told her that it was ten times that. Would love to know their intended market. Today’s Spotify generation does not have this amount in their car.

Don’t disagree on the cost, but that is a very attractive package. It basically does the work of two or three different systems. You can use is as an AVR, you can use it as a two channel digital system (with Roon integration), and you can use it as an analog system with a turntable. If the price was half they would probably sell three times as many.

I’m certainly intrigued for my new house but I will likely wait and see if a lightly used one shows up at a fair savings.
Quite happy with my Krell integrated and Matrix Roon Ready streamer/ dac right now I must admit.
