After upgrading to Roon 1.8, I found all the homepage loadings are extremely slow.
For example, on the home page of the app, the section of recently listened panel (and panels after that) is loading very slowly.
As well as the home page of each artist. Basically the overview panel.
From the log, seems the software is making calls to the server and maybe the server is overloaded.

Are developers aware of this?
Also, I cannot easily find the editor ratings for albums in the artist discography pages as well as the recommended album panel. Which makes it hard to find one good album to listen.
Any solutions?
We’re having some server issues right now and it’s preventing a lot of the new recommendation features from functioning properly, including those on the home screen – we’re working on it and should be fixed soon.
This is more people firing up Roon than we’ve ever seen before
Thanks for replying, Mike.
By the way, is there a way to bring back the editor rating for albums on the discography pages? I did see the ratings available in tidal page.
It looks like loading the same page again is also equally slow - is there no caching happening in ROCK? Especially since a lot of this data seems to be about local activity and libraries.
Same here… home page is unbearably slow to load… About 1min or so on my computer. Basicaly impossible to use. I was like “5-10s” issue on 1.7 to load this page was already a pain, this just get next level!
Same here. Loading takes a lot of time. Thanks for looking into it! I never experienced something like that with Roon before. My iMac Pro is usually fast, the internet connection is 1 GBit per second.
Known bug. Will the fix it anytime soon? I really love when I see placeholders for about 20 albums whereas in the past my entire library would instantly load into view! Really upped the performance for us!
No, I have the same issue and restarting the core doesn’t help. Maybe it’s an issue with the Valence server which cannot take all the requests it’s getting. I remember there was a similar issue right after first release of 1.8
There is also a thread open in the #Support category but, looking at the pace with which they have responded so far to other support requests, it could take some weeks before anyone is looking at the thread. The support team seems to be pretty overloaded lately.
