Extremely slow Roon downloads & metadata without VPN:

Hello Roon Support,
I am experiencing extremely slow download speeds (around 5–10 KB/s) when downloading Roon installers (https://roon.app/de/downloads) and when loading artist Overview metadata inside Roon.

Important details:
My general internet speed is fine (900+ Mbps, confirmed on multiple devices, Bufferbloat: "A")
The problem occurs on multiple computers on the same connection
As soon as I enable a VPN (Germany, Singapore, Japan), download speed and metadata loading become normal immediately
This strongly suggests a routing issue between my ISP and the CDN used by Roon.
Location: Thailand
ISP: 3BB
Could you please advise how this can be resolved?

Unifi Cloud Gateway Fiber, 7 Unifi Switches, 12 Unifi AP's. Over 100 clients permanently.

We will certainly inform the relevant teams about this problem in your geographic region and ensure that our services are operating normally. However, we can’t override or reroute traffic for a specific ISP — only the ISP can correct that path.

What we recommend next:

First, contact 3BB support and report a suspected international routing/peering issue. Provide them with the specific symptoms (very low throughput to certain overseas hosts, normal performance via VPN). If possible, ask them to escalate to their network engineering team, as front-line support may not recognize this immediately.

In the meantime, using a VPN will remain the most reliable workaround. We understand how frustrating this is — especially when everything else on the connection works perfectly. However, the symptoms functionally rule out Roon, the application, and your local setup as plausible throttle points.

If your ISP requests any additional technical details from us, let us know and we’ll do what we can to assist.
