· I was running roon server on QNAP NAS. Tried your proposed method using Container Software but could not get it running. Spend many times over three days. Never got Roon running
· Netgear Nighthawk X6 router. No VON. No swiches or extenders

Sorry to hear you’re running into issues installing Roon via Docker. Have you followed the steps outlined in our Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker guide? This walks through the required container image, paths, and network settings.
If you were following that guide and it still would not start, the next things we need are the exact point where it failed and what QNAP model and Container Station version you were using. If you have a screenshot of the container settings or any startup error, please attach that here as well.
