Failed playback for one album

Describe your network setup

George Ezra 'Gold Rush Kid' all tracks shown as not available in Qobuz whether accesses from Roon on Mac OS, IOS or Arc (Remotely via Cellular). All tracks play when selected directly from Qobuz. As far as I can tell only this album is affected.

Is the album in your Roon library? Did you add it a while ago?

If so, then most likely Qobuz removed this particular version from its catalog and replaced it with a new one. This kind of thing happens all the time. Roon doesn’t replace the in-library copy automatically (unfortunately).

You will probably find the new version if you go to the unavailable album and look under its Versions tab. Add the new one to the library and remove the old one. In some cases, you may need to search for it again.

Note that, unfortunately, your metadata (play counts, favorite, personal rating, any metadata edits) will not be transferred to the new version.

Thankyou so much. This is the problem. Columbia have released a Christmas version of this album on November 21st with an additional 8 tracks. I have removed the original from my Library and added the new version in and all is well. I guess my only comment would be that a more informative message from the Roon app would be a good idea here, pointing in the direction you have outlined. Also I think Qobuz should have added the new album as exactly that, a new album rather than removing the old version. Once again many thanks!

Hi @starlir

Sometimes distributors change backend data and Qobuz creates a new album object for a new release. Roon handles these situations as gracefully as possible. You can try a Qobuz manual resync from Settings → Services in this situation moving forward, but there will inevitably still be cases where you’ll need to re-add the new Qobuz album.
