Good morning,
just signed up for a trial period I am already in trouble.
I download the roon application on my windows 10 i5 64 bit pc but when it asks me to find my core it doesn’t find it and if I select use this pc as core a blank page opens with the symbol in the center of the page.
Can you help me make it work? Thanks

Unfortunately you hit the first hard stop already… not too common, actually.
Maybe try setting firewall exceptions, see here.
I’ll move your post to the appropriate section for official @support to find it, in case my suggestion doesn’t fix you up.
Grazie Marin_Weigel, purtroppo non ho risolto, ho disattivato sia l’antivirus che il firewall ma la situazioen non cambia… Ho già provato varie volte a disinstallare e reinstallare il programma, son riuscito a farlo funzionare solo una volta alcuni giorni fa dopo parecchie installazioni/disinstallazioni e attiva/disattiva firewall, ora non ci riesco più
aggiungo ulteriori informazioni nella speranza che qualche utente sia gentile e mi venga in soccorso: se apro con lo smartphone l’applicazione room collegandola alla stessa rete del pc trova il roon core del pc con il pallino verde con scritto ready, ma poi se premo connect sullo smartphone non succede nulla ovvero esce il solito schermo bianco con il simbolo nero al centro
Have you installed Roon core separately, or are you planning to run everything on one computer? If Roon Core is not already installed, you can set up core in this process - in the screen to select Roon core - you have an option to set up a roon core on this computer (last selection on the screen).
Running a combination of Roon Remote and Roon Core requires the Roon application to be open on the Windows computer. You can also install a headless server version on Windows (separate download).
Grazie Tor_Gunnar_Berland, vado a rispondere: per il momento ho intenzione di installare tutto sul pc, sia core che remote.
Ho quindi scaricato ed aperto la versione per windows sul pc. Aprendolo mi ha chiesto di accettare le condizioni e poi se trovare un roon core oppure impostare un roon core sul pc.
Io ho scelto impostare un roon core su questo pc, mi ha chiesto il login per entrare e poi si apre una schermata bianca con simbolo nero in centro e resta fermo cosi’
Se scarico il room server sul pc e lo apro prima di aprire il programma roon, mi trova immediatamente il roon core ma se premo collega torna la schermata bianca con l’icona nera mobile in centro.
Ci sarà qualche conflitto? Ho disattivato Firewall
Scusate non e’ una nota polemica, soprattutto per la community, ma se un utente vuole provare roon per periodo di prova e non riesce a farlo partire come potra’ decidere di abbonarsi? Lascera’ perdere e passera’ ad altro. Ci vorrebbe un supporto tecnico di qualcuno della societa’ e non attendere la buona volonta’ di qualche utente che chiaramente leggera’ gli ultimi 10 argomenti e non vedra’ quindi la tua richiesta d’aiuto finita in terza pagina…

But did it occur to you that it’s the weekend?
If you expect instant support around the clock, better look elsewhere, although you’d probably have a hard time to find any such provider, I guess.
Roon staff will probably follow up tomorrow, and if you’d go out of your way, swallow your frustration and ask nicely, they’d likely even extend your trial.
Think about it for a minute, being edgy does not help…
Certo Marin, la mia non voleva essere una critica fine a se stessa, ma un momento di riflessione per il supporto. Ci sta che e’ fine settimana ma proprio nel fine settimana uno che lavora come me ha il tempo da dedicare alle prove tecniche. Detto questo per esempio non mi e’ chiara la differenza tra scaricare la versione per pc (comprende tutto?) oppure i singoli download che sono piu’ sotto (intendo roon server e roon). Io ho provato entrambe le soluzioni ottenendo i medesimi risultati ma probabilmente qualche differenza ci sara’ altrimenti non vedo l’utilita’.
Ho letto che l’aggiornamento a questa versione ha comportato molti problemi anche ad utenti che prima non avevano problemi di fruizione, forse divranno sistemare qualcosa a livello di patch, non so

To just give you a quick overview:
Roon Server is a core version without a GUI to run headless or just to save a bit on resources - controlling Roon would have to be done with any remote device.
Roon is an all in one solution, so can be core and be used to control with it’s GUI.
You can even install Roon Server and Roon on the same PC/MAC to save resources when usually using it as just the core, but being able to start the GUI if (controlling it from there is seldomly) needed.
BTW, that’s how I have Roon installed, since I usually use a remote from my listening position.
You may even invest your spare time wisely, without distraction by music 
, to browse Roon’s help center and knowledge base, in order to dive deeper into how things work…

Ti Ringrazio Marin sono riuscito a farlo funzionare.
Per coloro che potrebbero avere le mie difficolta’ ho risolto impostando le eccezioni firewall di windows defender del room raat e room sia su pubblica sia su privata. Ho riavviato il pc ed ha funzionato!
Spero che funzioni anche domani
