I wanted to participate in this thread and then I found out that 2019 was an excruciatingly bad year (for my tastes).
There is not a single album I can wholeheartedly recommend.
At least there are 3 honorable mentions:

Anna Ternheim - A space for lost time

I really think “Tool - Fear Inoculum” belongs at #2 rather than at #3. The same can be said for #4, #7 and #8.
