Feature(s) to add - solving Playlist inconsistencies / file location hierarchy

Dear Roon Team,

As a user of Roon for quite some years now, I have removed Network disks and swapped them to USB, then changed or added new ones.
Though recently helped by user advice for switching locations in Library, I am however left with a large number of inconsistencies (Links to locations that do not work anymore) in many Playlists ! With long Playlists containing many tracks in a given order, adding again from the new location is complicated.

It would be so helpful to add a simple item in the menu list for each Playlist item (working or not working) : its folder location, something that we could manually edit and correct !

Thanks for considering, I believe we are many users who encounter the same issue and would enjoy this type of solution. Or even an automated proposal for an alternate location if that is easy enough to implement.

Best regards
CD

PS: An additional feature that would be nice : allowing files to be located:

  • by priority on local file folder (or even in a priority list of local folders)
  • If not found, on a backup folder
  • If not found, on Internet via whatever external subscription is linked to our Roon account.
That would combine efficiency an robustness…

Hi Geoff, thanks I did not know about this voting feature, this is a good idea but how to advertise it ? Where can anyone see all the proposals subject to a vote ?
Thanks
