The Fiio K11 streamer doesn’t seem to facilitate DSP Volume control, setting volume limits, and setting startup volume level.
Am I doing something wrong or is the expected behaviour?
Will this change, or can this change with a Fiio Firmware update?

The K11 is not a streamer, it’s a DAC.
And it’s not Roon Tested.
Did you connect it to a Roon server via USB?
Is your server running Windows?
Did you install the correct USB driver?
How did you set up the UAC settings? UAC 2 or UAC 1?
You are right!
My bad. I meant the Fiio SR11
Ok. What is your SR11 current firmware?
Mine is official Roon Ready M239. And it works as it has to.
Volume limits:
Volume control:
If you want to control volume by Roon, you have to set setting VOL as ADJ.
I set it to MAX, because I use SR11 with K11 R2R as a DAC and a headphone amplifier, so I adjust volume manually by K11.
Hi Serge.
Are you satisfied by K11 R2R? I am intending to buy one too. Recently bought an SR11
Well, it’s pretty good, especially for the price ![]()
I use it for late night headphone listening.
And I actually bought it as a gift, but the package was a little dented when it arrived, so I kept it for myself ![]()
The only thing I should note is that when paired with SR11 via USB and using it in Roon it does not support DSD256, only DSD128 (don’t know why
)
SR11 and K11 themselves support DSD256 (DoP).
If that matters.
Some say it’s even better when using LPS. So I’m planning to buy an affordable one ![]()
I bought a FIIO K11 R2R DAC to check out what kind of sound an R2R DAC produces.
Ended up buying a second one. One connects to my Cambridge CXN V2. The other to my WiiM Ultra.
They sound great ![]()
