Fiio X7/X5iii compatibility with Roon?

Good morning all.

I am toying with the idea of getting an X7 from Fiio or poss the X5iii.

To this end I would like to ask if anyone has any experience with either of these units viz Roon compatibility? Ie can one use the Roon Android app and access one’s Core music via the Fiio device using Wifi connection?

I’ve FiiO X5iii, yes it does work as Roon remote on the android OS.

No, it doesn’t however since I can install Roon into FiiO X5III as android app, I can use to playback via from Roon server. It has the similar functionality to iPhone and iPad.

Since FiiO X5III has built-in a high quality dual DACs, sound quality is very good indeed.

Yes but only through the general Android system audio driver it doesn’t make use of full capabilities.
