Focal Mu-so Hekla upcoming as Roon Ready?

Hi Guys,

I asked before about the Focal Mu-So Hekla certification before. People were so kind to lead me into Focal’s support to ask for this.

Yesterday on the app I see this when I go into the audio tab:

Does this mean Focal finally is gearing up to certify the Hekla? Prior to this, it only appeared as a Chromecast and Airplay device…

Thx in advance!

Roon Labs won’t comment on pending certifications, so your best bet remains Focal, as it says in your screenshot,

but that said, I believe the „uncertified“ is typically indeed a sign that things are moving in this direction. Interesting.

Yeah. That’s my idea! Before the previous firmware 7.0.3 and Roon’s client update, this did t show. I truly hope they are cooking this as I type.

Be prepared to wait , I put a question on their support page , 3weeks later they mailed me asking had I been helped I replied NO since the radio silence, another 3 weeks

They are French , probably at Lunch :smiling_face_with_horns:

I’m not saying that they will answer the Certification question either (nor are they required to), but Roon definitely won’t

Im more surprised since the tech guy from USA, Jimmy, said to me that it was not going to be certified. Dead flat. The reason was they wanted to get people use their app and “maybe a compatibility issue from the new systems”.

Perhaps they reconsidered after getting many puzzled requests because the Naim Mu-So v2 already is Roon Ready, so it doesn’t seem to be a lot of work (as most likely they all use the same streaming board). Who knows
