What’s happening?
I'm having trouble playing music
What best describes your playback issue?
I'm hearing dropouts
Since about a couple of weeks I have been experiencing drops when playing music to Bluesound Node n130. At least once every hour but most of the times more. These drops cause a pause that takes 2 seconds - 10 seconds. and sometimes this also causes track skips. This happens on both Tidal and Local music.
When I use the Tidal app or Bluesound OS directly this does not happen (so when not using Roon).
Other roon end points don't have this issue.
Sounds like a WiFi problem, can you connect by Ethernet even just a lash up to test ?
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your quick response, Much appreciated.
I also tried with ethernet cable and had the same issue, but to be fair I had to use an ethernet extension block as I didn’t have a long enough cable (i needed 10 meters).
I can try to use the Bluesound node on my secondary system where I can use an ethernet cable. I will try to do this tomorrow.

Hey @Job_van_Dongen,
Ben with support here, I wanted to check in and see if hardwiring your setup was helpful? Let me know!
Hi,
I had a bit of a weird setup what made it quite complicated. My bluesound nodes wifi was defective , and i bypassed that by using an ethernet cable coming from one of my non wired mesh routers ap.This has worked good the last 2 years but somehow it started giving errors.
I have moved around my mesh wifi aps, the main wired one is now much closer to the ap i use with the node, I tested for a bit and did not get any errors, but i didnt trust the bluesound node anymore and send it in for repair. Just got word they are sending a replacement early next week free of charge. Will test again when the unit arrives.
I am now temporarily running a raspberry pi without any issues.
