· Every thing is wired and no change to the network only update from Roon. Before last update I would have an endpoint drop out short after a server restart but after that all good for some time. The restart, every 7-10 days because of sluggish behavior, getting very slow and dropping audio frequently, on the Roon server side. After last update loosing audio endpoint, Meridian 218 is close to every day and sometimes more than once a day. Very annoying and frustrating
I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.
However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.
First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.
We wanted to check back in after the weekend to see if you’d encountered any network instability in Roon. If so, let us know either a timestamp (approximate) or the name of the track that was playing, as relevant.
Hi @connor , just had an audio zone drop out at local time Oslo 12.39 and the song was Sidsel Endresen: Kristiansand III. Network all good and running.
Our team has everything they need to investigate further - we’ll follow up with more information as soon as we possibly can, thanks for your ongoing patience here!
Hi @alex_h
This is only a heads up from my side. After about 13 days without reboot or restart the server, the audio endpoint dropouts are speeding up. Around 12 o’clock and forward the dropouts are coming frequently so my only solution is to restart the server. Maybe it’s happening because of lack of RAM but I have 32 gb of RAM so I don’t know. Something to think about in the holidays
Thanks for the update and for sharing your observations.
The team is actively looking into this, but at the moment there are no new updates or a concrete timeframe we can share yet. We’ll follow up as soon as we hear back from R&D.
