All my devices (iPhone 14, Mac) suddenly can’t find my Room Core Nucleus +. It worked for years. In my FritzBox 7590 the Nucleus is shown under “unused connections” (Ungenutzte Verbindungen) suddenly.
A nucleus reset with the reset button did not help.
That’s weird. I find my Fritzbox very reliable and I’d tend to believe it if it lists the Nucleus under unused connections, but try rebooting the Fritzbox in any case before looking elsewhere
Is your Mac a desktop Mac and far away from the Nucleus? I am asking because if possible I would try unplugging the Ethernet cable from the Nucleus (on the Nucleus’s side) and instead plugging it into the Mac. Then turn off wifi on the Mac and see if the Mac still has a working network connection (and the Fritzbox shows the Mac under the active wired connections). Because if that works, the network chain up to the Ethernet cable to the Nucleus would be confirmed as working, and the problem must come after this, i.e., with the Nucleus
Edit: Alternatively, what @BeeKay suggested. I’m going after the same thing
Ethernet (LAN) does not work like that, there would have to be some configuration with IP addresses, your Mac by default does not auto-assign an IP to the Nucleus+ over a direct LAN cable.
I suggest you try what I wrote, if it’s possible to arrange, or connect a monitor by HDMI to the Nucleus+ to see its boot messages as @BeeKay wrote
Hi Suedkiez, hi Bernd, thank you for your support. In the meantime I have solved the problem. Via the monitor that I connected directly to the Nucleus+, I could see that the Nucleus+ was booting up perfectly. Here I also got the info at the end that I can operate the Nucleus+ plus directly via the Web UI. On this interface I was able to reinstall the driver software and reboot the Nucleus+. Now it works again.
