Getting started - IPad can't connect to Core

  • Roon is installed on my PC, and on my iPad
  • on the iPad, when looking for a Roon Coreit finds my computer, but says “connection failed”
  • both devices are on the same network

what should I try@support

So we can better assist you, please describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.

Since installing have you tried rebooting the Core machine and networking hardware?

On the Core machine is there any active firewall or antivirus? If you disable them is there any change in behavior?

I figured out that I have to disable my internet security software. That fixed it although I hope to find a better long term solution, don’t want to have to keep turning off internet security in order to use Roon
