I have Roon Server running on a Mac Mini that is connected directly to an amp and speakers (that zone is called “Living Room”). I have several laptops running Roon Remote to control it. I recently added an iPad running Roon Remote to the mix, mainly to play music on a bluetooth speaker in the kitchen. I’d like to group the iPad local zone and the “Living Room” zone so that I hear the same music played in both spots. However, the iPad does not show the Group function. I AM able to group any of the laptops with the “Living Room” zone. Is there a way to do this or are iOS and OS zones not groupable?

Mobile devices by default are configured as a private zone, i.e. you can start playback only on the device itself. To prevent blasting other family member’s phones with music by accident. If you want to control a mobile zone remotely, you must turn off the private setting.
Grouping is protocol, not device, specific. As long as all your endpoints are running RAAT then any Roon remote can participate.
In Settings → Audio for the “local” device it defaults to private. Uncheck that toggle as you need to make it not private. Then you should be able to group it.
