Yes has been checked, so really a bit annoying.
Do your technical skills extend to pinging the device to see if it is still on the network as a streamer.
Also have you made sure you havenât left it on another input as I have done more than once, as Roon and other streaming protocols only show up when it is on the streaming input
Not really, but since I can reach it online and reset the Roon bridge, it should be on the network?
i only use the streaming input, and stream from Roon, so never change input.
Ok that is strange, so youâre Roon Bridge is getting corrupted or broken in some way.
What version of Roon are you on and what Roon Bridge are you showing?
This feels like the similar problem to last month when Room pushed out a version of Roon Bridge that was not compatible with the EA version of Roon that was released so I could not use the Audalytic for a week
Just as today, I got an update to my Roon Bridge, version 2.60 (build 1501). Will cross my fingersâ
.
Thanks for input!
2.6 build 1501 is the one you want.
Hopefully it will become as reliable for you as it is for me
Unfortunately, same issue again.
And now, I canât locate it using my Roon app (audio) anymore.
Are there any updates to the dac itself, you would have to install manually using Windows?
When checking using the dr70/local, it says version:
V1.2.1 build 229 (you have latest version).
I had issues with the shipper.
Eventually got a unit yesterday!!
Just installed and updated it so will let you know when I actually get to listen to it.
This is the same version as I have.
Good luck, hopefully yours goes as smoothly as mine.
Mine certainly improved after 2 weeks of regular listening
I like it. It sounds good and has been solid.
It takes a while to get discovered by the server when itâs come out of standby but thatâs the only negative.
It seems to require some time to get an IP address and show up on Roon/HQPlayer and everything else, so I was assuming that was something to do with the way the Streaming board is set up.
Itâs also disabled the moment you switch it to another input as well, but guessing that is to reduce the noise to the DAC board.
Have you tried it with an external PSU? I happened to have an iFi 15V one that I wasnât using and it really makes a difference, not that it sounded anything but excellent using the inbuilt power unit. But I could not go back after hearing the improvement.
Of course I am not recommending that you go out and spend anymore money

I wonât be doing that.
Happy with it as is.
I knew that, but thought I would mention it, because I am that kind of person ![]()
It really does sound excellent as it, and I would never have done it myself if I had not gone down the rabbit hole of dozens of pages of evil audiophile forums posts, and actually having one spare in a box in the house ![]()
Iâve tried the power supply thing in my more gullible/employed past and couldnât tell any different ![]()
Iâll stick with my standard power cable, cheap speaker wire and interconnects. I might buy some bigger speakers mind you âŚ.![]()

interesting. Iâm running an Ultra into a Gustard U18 DDC and from there to the DR70 and it sounds pretty phenomenal. I used it as a Roon Bridge for a while, but found an Ultra online for $200 and it gives me a better connection to Roon so I went with that. All in all, I love the DR70
Are you using linear or AC power?
I am using ifi zen ipower X 15v AC power supply that I happened to have spare from another device.
It has worked really well so far, though it was good using the built-in power supply as well.
Thank you for your feedback, and I will decide to buy it ![]()
