Describe the issue

Roon Bridge on Arch - headphones not visible in Remote.

Describe your network setup

Roon Bridge on Arch works as expected. Settings — Audio on Roon Remote shows one analog ALSA device and three HDMI ALSA devices, but the connected headphone doesn't show up, even after restarting the roonbridge service. Is there a way to play music through the Bluetooth headphones with Roonbridge, please?

Roon is using ALSA. You may have to install additional software to make the Bluetooth stack on your Linux distribution use ALSA – but this seems to me as beyond the scope of Support and should probably better be discussed in Linux.

You pointed me in the right direction. Thanks. Looked into Pipewire — ALSA — Bluetooth and decided to install Squeezebox Lite again. That first path seems closed.

If you want to use a Bluetooth headphone you need a loopback device like so:

modprobe snd-aloop
alsaloop -C hw:Loopback,1 -P bluealsa -t 100000 -n -S 1

Thanks, Robin.
Going to test this out this weekend.
