I have 2 stands, currently for Dan Clark Aeon2 Noire, the Audioquest Perch

And then a second one, bought off eBay, presently holding my B&W P5 Wireless, used for travelling both with WiFi & wired (Movies on planes), a stand used for B&W Headphones in the Apple Stores, before they bought Beats.

As a Roon-Ready endpoint, the FiiO R7 is absolutely superb.

It plays perfectly with Roon over WiFi and is faultless in use.

It has plenty of power to drive the Sundara’s, and the flexibility in headphone output options is without-peer.

SQ wise, it’s not too far from my FiiO M17. Yes there is a small, perceptible difference, but the M17 is twice the price of the R7. At the price, I think the R7 is a steal!

It is now my favourite/most used Roon endpoint, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly :heart_eyes:

I’m not quite sure how much difference the PL50 makes? I’ve never compared the R7 with/without the PL50?

However, for the PL50’s price, I think it’s a no-brainer :smiley:

PS - Since using my R7, I don’t miss my Mojo 2/Poly one little bit. That was flea-bayed straight away!

I remember when Darko reviewed the R7 and said it was very good, and then in a different episode he went back to the R7 but this time with the PL50 and said it was a major improvement and moved it to the category of more expensive devices

So I can start to feed you wavering :zipper_mouth_face:

Apparently, FiiO is due to release its R9 this Autumn.
