Several people have had issues with the Apple Studio Display playing Roon music at low volume or not at all. Unplugging the ASD from the wall (mains) and plugging it back in seems to fix the issue. You may also want to reboot the Mac Studio as well.
I’ve just installed the Roon demo on my Mac Studio. Roon app sees my iTunes/Apple Music library. I play a track as a test. Volume is very low, almost inaudible. Output going to Studio Display speakers, and I can’t hear anything, even with the volume set to 100.
