How can I shuffle songs in my library when using ARC in Apple CarPlay?

I do not see a shuffle button on ARC when running it on Apple CarPlay. I’m able to shuffle the songs by using ARC directly on my iPhone, but that requires me to pick up my phone while driving. Is the shuffle feature not available on CarPlay or do I need to enable it?

(I’ve checked the Roon Community and Roon Help Center, but do not see anything related.)

My set up:
RoonARC 1.69 (369)
iPhone 16 IOS Version 18.6.2

There is a shuffle function on the now playing screen for the current album or queue. You can also use Siri to tell ARC to shuffle a playlist or an album or an artist.

And like magic, a Shuffle button suddenly appears.
