How do artists’ and albums’ info get linked? (ex: Pius Cheung)

Hi- I’m trying to figure out how smaller artists’ work first gets linked to available content about them.

An example: I just found out about amazing marimba player Pius Cheung (from an Ethicist article in The NY Times by Kwame Anthony Appiah about Fiddler on the Roof of all things, definitely worth reading). He has a brief Wikipedia page (Pius Cheung - Wikipedia) but there’s no artist info on Roon. How does this link get made initially, and is there a way that I can contribute / fix as I can with Valence and artist / album photos? Is this in Musicbrainz or something like that where I can add a link and it’ll eventually get taken care of?

For artists, you need the artist’s Wikidata URL, which you can get from the artist’s Wikipedia page. You then add that as an External Link to the corresponding MusicBrainz artist page.

For albums, you need to do similar, but make sure you add the External Link to the MusicBrainz Release Group, not an individual Release.
