How do I change ip address to new NAS

Installed new Synology 918+ NAS (Name: DAMMusic1), transferred drives with 4.2 TB music files with no problems. Can see NAS and music files in Apple Finder all OK. Problem is that ROON uses old ip address (10.0.0.6) which was somehow changed with the new NAS, and is not the correct address. New NAS ip address is (10.0.0.12) and I could not find how to change it in ROON. Overview now shows only 21 albums, mostly Tidal, instead of 1452 albums as it should.
Setup:
Router>ethernet>Sonic orbiter with ROON Core>ethernet>NAS.
Router>ethernet >ultraRendu>USB>DAC

System Setup worked normally prior to NAS upgrade. I cannot figure out how to direct ROON to the correct ip address for the NAS and music files.
Very much appreciate your support.
PS: not a techie network guy so please make it simple. Thanks.

Try looking here: https://kb.roonlabs.com/Adding_Folders_Using_Path

You will probably want to edit the existing path so as not to loose the indexing. If you use a name instead of an IP address, DAMMusic1, you may avoid this happening in the future.

Thanks Mike. Here is a snip of the screen with the path to the music files. IP address and directory are from the NAS.

Not sure why ROON can’t find host/NAS. Appreciate your help and any other thoughts.

Thanks, David

Forgot to add NAS snip.

Thanks,
David

I think you need to remove the :5000 from the share location address.

Removed :5000. Get message of ‘Unexpected Error’.

And here is the NAS network setting info:

Tried the 10.0.0.1 Gateway, but no success.

Mike, I am in San Francisco, and need to sleep. Will respond in the morning.
Thanks for your support.

You need to remove the DAMMusic1 bit too…just the smb://IPADDRESS/music and music is case sensitive plus you will need to an applicable user name and password with read permissions for that music share

Note also that you should be using a fixed IP address assigned in the router DHCP table if you use IP address share, and or if its in the non DHCP range fix it in the NAS network settings too.

Changed the smb setting per your suggestion and got the connection! Thank you.

Will check the DHCP table for fixed IP address.
Thank you all for excellent support. David
