Description of Issue

Can you map the Core Nucleus Pro to your network in order to transfer music files to the internal HD of the Core? I would like my music files to reside on the Core.

I would think you can (I did with my ROCK/NUC it should be similar to that).
This also assumes that you have a storage drive in the Nucleus not just the OS drive, as you can not put the music files on the OS drive.
So you know, dragging and dropping the files is also an option. (see KB link below)

From windows explorer click on “This PC” and then On “map network drive”:

Pick a drive letter
In the “folder” area type “\\NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage”
Be sure to replace NUCLEUS with NUCLEUSPLUS if you have a Nucleus+ If asked for a username and password, use Guest for both.

Still will not Map the drive. It is not finding it? Is there a way to look up the address of the drive.

it is 192.168.254.125 on my server

You can copy music to this drive by visiting the network share:

  1. From a Windows PC

  2. Open File Explorer

  3. Enter \NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage

  4. If you have issues connecting, please see this article for additional help

Be sure to replace NUCLEUS with NUCLEUSPLUS if you have a Nucleus+ If asked for a username and password, use Guest for both.

Hi John. I am not having any luck at this. I may be getting close.

I am trying \192.168.254.109\share Is is asking for a login and password? I have tried Guest Guest and guest guest and admin guest? No luck with that.

I got it. I mapped the following.

\192.168.254.109\data\storage\internalstorage

This worked on my NeucelusPlus
