How to delete my old backups?

After resolving my issue in the following thread,

I have some old backups I would like to delete, since I want to start anew.

Is there a recommended way to do it? Or I just delete the folders?

Below is a screenshot of the folder where I keep my old backups which I want to delete and make a new fresh one

Self explanatory, I’d say…

@Marin_Weigel

This is not applicable in my case since i have a fresh installation and the backup manager is not showing anything.

Thank you for your answer though

You can always go to Settings > Backups> Find Backups and browse to the existing Backups folder to use Roon’s Backup Manager to clean up (delete) the old backups…

As its a fresh install, I’d make a new backup (perhaps to a new location, and then kick off a new backup schedule), and delete the old backup folders with a “move to trash > empty trash” action.

Hi @Fragoulis_Sideris,

If you no longer want any of the backups you can just delete the entire RoonBackups folder using Finder.

If you only want to delete some, you can add that location to Roon using the Find Backups option and delete the specific ones you no longer want.

This is what I am doing right now, deleting through Terminal though
