Both, the new NCoreX and the Nilai modules are very interesting. Transparent, non musical and guaranteed fatiguing, plus SMPS. I absolutely love this

I ordered the preamp today.
Until it arrives I will be using a Topping A90 or a Naim Uniti Atom Headphone Edition.

As I understood, you don’t use full potential if the stereo version since the DIY is only provided with one power supply

Im surprised I didn’t spot this thread before. Picked up a pair of the mono units from KJF Audio for bass duties in the active conversion of my PMS speaker build. Ideally wanted another AHB2, but then rational thought kicked in and I got a pair of Nilai 500s for half the price of a third AHB2.
After a couple of emails, they were happy about me modding the rear panels to take Neutrik Speakons as it wasn’t going to materially affect the PSU or amp modules, which is all that the warranty really covers.
Really nice build quality. The panel fit up is ultra-precise. Apparently, you can now buy unbranded fascias without the DIY logo.
Oodles of power, low distortion and very good dynamic range. Doesn’t measure quite as well as the Benchmark AHB2, but it’s sonically indistinguishable and still absolutely transparent.

I have the modules but have chosen a custom case that will fit in better with the aesthetic of my setup. I’ve gone from Hypex NC400 (failed), Purifi Eigentakt, Nilai 500DIY. I am buying mostly out of curiosity but the idea is to finish my system.
