It’s like the little girl. When she was good she was very, very good; but when she was bad, she was shocking.
I run Roon through a Nucleus Rev B. It crashes continually and takes a long, long while to reload after I have rebooted the system.
Surely, this is not normal. I have a good Internet connection. The problem is in the delivery.
I think it’s good when it works but there’s something pretty amateur in a service that whimsically decides to stop. It makes listening to music dreadful. A good movement and the bloody thing decides it’s had enough.
I don’t know if anyone from Roon reads these posts. In case they do, I’ve invested a lot of money in this, having a Nuc and a lifetime subscription. Together, that was a month’s salary.
What do I get? An unstable system that is better bypassed using Qobuz directly.
And while I’m griping, Arc doesn’t work and your instructions are about as comprehensible as they would be written in Swahili.
This is not normal behavior. I have had Roon for 4 1/2 years and run three servers with three lifetime subscriptions with no problems. There is something wrong with your setup somewhere.
There’s definitely something not working correctly. It could be faulty hardware or something else, but you’ll need Roon support to assist with this. I see this is your first post, and you haven’t previously opened a support ticket.
So, head to Support (this is a link), and click on the blue banner with the “Get Help” button.
your experience is not at all typical. Sorry to hear of your disappointment. But before giving up, may I respectfully suggest that you dig into things a little further to see if you can find what’s causing the trouble?
I’d hate to be misunderstood as implying that because most (?) of us don’t have these difficulties you are not doing. You are; and they’re very real.
