Identifying DAC

Nucleus + (Ver 1.7 Build 667)
Synology NAS

Auralic Aries G1 Transporter
Hegel H390 Integrated Amp
Chord Hugo TT2 DAC connected via USB
Kef R3 Speakers

Hi guys

I have just recently updated my Amp from a Mirantz KI Ruby to a Hegel H390
I am using an external DAC but it doesnt appear to show up on my Signal Path or in my Audio settings.
I previously had a Qutest and this showed up fine.

Any help would be appreciated

I suspect that Roon is unable to “see” any devices downstream of your Auralic streamer. I have a Sonore ultraRendu streamer and as you can see below the signal path only shows “USB output” after the ultraRendu - it’s unable to see my DAC.

Well my answer above may not be entirely correct. When I go into Audio Setup it seems that Roon is able to see my DAC there (see "Audio Device):

Thanks yeah I would have thought the Chord Hugo TT2 would be visible?

on my Hegel amp is shows on the front that I am connecting via USB but i have a USB from my streamer to the amp (upsampling to 384khz) so I suspect im using the internal DAC on the hegel.

I want to use the external TT2

I would think that you’d need to connect the Auralic to the Hugo via USB (instead of connecting it to the Hegel) and then run analog interconnects from the Hugo to the Hegel?

Thanks I have just done what you said and the Chord TT2 now shows in the signal path alongside the Aries G1

My Chord DAC also shows 384khz on the display

Still not showing up in the Audio section though

Thanks for the help on all this

Looks like you have it properly configured now!

Thanks Gerald
